When Are You Reading? Challenge 2021

When are-you-reading-2021

The When Are You Reading? Challenge is hosted by Sam at Taking on a World of Words and involves reading a book predominantly set in (or written in) each of twelve time periods.   You can see how I got on with the 2020 challenge here.

My provisional list for the 2021 challenge is below. Links from the title will take you to the book description on Goodreads or, once I’ve read them, to my review. I’ve deliberately chosen books that have either been in my TBR pile for way too long or have forthcoming publication dates.

If you love historical fiction but often find yourself sticking to one or two favourite time periods, or if you’re keen to read more historical fiction in 2021, why not join me and sign up?

What’s In A Name Challenge 2021 – Sign Up

What's In A Name 2021The What’s In A Name Challenge is being hosted again for 2021 by Andrea at Carolina Book Nook.   You can find out how I got on with the challenge in 2020 here.

The challenge runs from 1st January 2021 to 31st December 2021. You can sign up any time, but can only count books you read between those dates. Read a book in any format (hard copy, ebook, audio) with a title that fits into each category. Don’t use the same book for more than one category. Creativity for matching the categories is not only allowed, it’s encouraged! You can choose your books as you go or make a list ahead of time.

I’ve made some provisional selections below, picked from my TBR pile. The link from the title will take you to the book’s entry on Goodreads.  Once I’ve read them, I’ll replace this with a link to my review.

It’s a really fun challenge, so why not sign up to take part yourself?
