Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme created by The Broke and the Bookish and now hosted by Jana at That Artsy Reader Girl.
The rules are simple:
- Each Tuesday, Jana assigns a new topic. Create your own Top Ten list that fits that topic – putting your unique spin on it if you want.
- Everyone is welcome to join but please link back to That Artsy Reader Girl in your own Top Ten Tuesday post.
- Add your name to the Linky widget on that day’s post so that everyone can check out other bloggers’ lists.
- Or if you don’t have a blog, just post your answers as a comment.
This week’s Top Ten Tuesday topic is Authors I’ve Met however I did a similar post a while back so I’ve come up with my own topic: Books With Alliterative Titles. I’ve limited myself to two word titles (so nothing that includes ‘a’, ‘the’ or ‘of’) and to books I’ve read. Links from each title will take you to my review.
- Black Butterflies by Priscilla Morris
- Carrion Crow by Heather Parry
- Devorgilla Days by Kathleen Hart
- Latchkey Ladies by Marjorie Grant
- Love Lane by Patrick Gale
- Miss Marley by Vanessa Lafaye
- Sergeant Salinger by Jerome Charyn
- Swan Song by Kelleigh Greenberg-Jephcott
- Venetian Vespers by John Banville
- Witch Wood by John Buchan
Can you think of other alliterative book titles?

Some great titles on here Cathy

I’ve had it “in reserve” for a while but it’s taken me a long time to find ten.

Ooh alliteration! I would love more prompts like that, or some other melodious title characteristic. Nice list :)

I like an alliterative title, although I haven’t read any of these books. Funny enough, both of the books I’m currently reading (one paper, one audio) have alliterative titles: DEATH BY DEMO and THE TRAITER IN THE TUNNEL.
Happy TTT (on a Wednesday)!
