Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme created by The Broke and the Bookish and now hosted by Jana at That Artsy Reader Girl.
The rules are simple:
- Each Tuesday, Jana assigns a new topic. Create your own Top Ten list that fits that topic – putting your unique spin on it if you want.
- Everyone is welcome to join but please link back to That Artsy Reader Girl in your own Top Ten Tuesday post.
- Add your name to the Linky widget on that day’s post so that everyone can check out other bloggers’ lists.
- Or if you don’t have a blog, just post your answers as a comment.
This week’s Top Ten Tuesday topic is, appropriately enough, a freebie on the theme of love. I don’t read a lot of romance but here are ten books whose titles reference elements of love, even if their subject matter may not be exactly ‘happy ever after’. Links from each title will take you to my review.
- Absolutely & Forever by Rose Tremain
- Heart, Be At Peace by Donal Ryan
- The Sweetheart Locket by Jen Gilroy
- The Alphabet of Heart’s Desire by Brian Keaney
- The Diver and the Lover by Jeremy Vine
- Love After Love by Ingrid Persaud
- The Beloved Girls by Harriet Evans
- It Was Only Ever You by Kate Kerrigan
- A Cornish Affair by Jo Lambert
- A Wedding in the Olive Garden by Leah Fleming

I’m not one for traditional romance novels, but I do like books that explore themes of love.

I’m the same. I don’t need the ‘happy ever after’ that usually comes with a romance novel.

I haven’t read any of these, although I think Rose Tremain is great and have read several of her other books. Alphabet of Heart’s Desire has a beautiful cover and sounds fascinating. Thanks for sharing and happy TTT!

I’ve read previous books by Rose Tremain that I preferred over this latest one but I know I’m in the minority.
