Novellas in November is a month-long blogger/social media challenge celebrating the art of the short book. It’s now in it’s fifth year but this will be the first year I’ve taken part. Hosted by Cathy of 746 Books and Rebecca of Bookish Beck it runs from 1st to 30th November. From 1st November there will be a pinned post on Rebeccaās site where you can join the link-up.
What counts as a novella? Well, for the purposes of the challenge it’s a book of between 20,000 to 40,000 words – or to make it easier, a book that’s under 200 pages.
The challenge includes a Buddy Read and this time it’s Orbital by Samantha Harvey which has just been shortlisted for the Booker Prize. That’s handy as it’s a book I’d already included in my list.

I hope you enjoy these! I read Blue Postcards when it was longlisted for the Walter Scott Prize a few years ago and found it very unusual.

I read Blue Postcards a couple of years ago & LOVED it. I planned to reread it one day, but then ended up gifting it to my book group christmas secert santa. The recipient loved the book too, but I do have some regrets about passing it on.
