Terra Incognita by Simon Turney (Head of Zeus) – an exciting historical adventure set in the 1st century Roman Empire about an epic journey into the unknown *

Piranesi by Susanna Clarke (Bloomsbury) – an enthralling combination of fantasy and mystery

    1. I’m not sure it beats The Romantic and a few people have mentioned it sounds similar to his earlier book, Restless, which I haven’t read but it’s definitely a good read. I just need to get my review written before I forget everything about it!
