Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme created by The Broke and the Bookish and now hosted by Jana at That Artsy Reader Girl.
The rules are simple:
- Each Tuesday, Jana assigns a new topic. Create your own Top Ten list that fits that topic – putting your unique spin on it if you want.
- Everyone is welcome to join but please link back to That Artsy Reader Girl in your own Top Ten Tuesday post.
- Add your name to the Linky widget on that day’s post so that everyone can check out other bloggers’ lists.
- Or if you don’t have a blog, just post your answers as a comment.
This week’s Top Ten Tuesday topic is a Relationship Freebie. None of the suggested approaches provided me with inspiration so I’ve gone down the rather obvious route of book titles that feature familial or marital relationships. Links from each title will take you to my review or the book description on Goodreads.
- Sister of Mine by Laurie Petrou
- My Cousin Rachel by Daphne du Maurier
- Brother by David Chariandry
- The King’s Mother by Annie Garthwaite
- The Good Father by S. R. Wilsher
- The Shanghai Wife by Emma Harcourt
- My Husband the Stranger by Rebecca Done
- The Physician’s Daughter by Martha Conway
- The Seventh Son by Sebastian Faulks
- Ancestry by Simon Mawer

It’s in family relationships that we learn to deal with the world, so these are always fascinating, I think.

I wasn’t feeling very inspired by this week’s prompt, so I did the same thing you did. Nice and easy! I haven’t read any of the books on your list, but ANCESTRY is one that intrigues me.
Happy TTT!

A good looking list. I still need to read a Daphne Du Maurier book.
Have a great week!

Oh, that works just fine! I have lots of books with wife and daughter in the title – too many, if you ask me!

I wish I would have thought of this but I went blank, maybe I’ve just been too busy. I went totally off topic this week. The only one I’ve read is Sister of Mine, but I will be checking out a couple of the others, Cathy.
