#SixOnSaturday – Six things happening in my garden this week

Six on Saturday is a weekly meme originally hosted by The Propagator but now in the tender care of Jim at Garden Ruminations.

We were promised rain overnight on Tuesday but unfortunately it bypassed us here in Berkshire. On a more positive note my order of spring bulbs and vegetable seeds for next year has arrived.

One – Do you think I’ve ordered enough bulbs?

Two – Geranium nodosum that looked like it had given up, although it’s supposed to be happy in dry shade, but has come back to life.

Three – The teasels are photobombing the Rudbeckia laciniata ‘Herbstsonne’ again. However, they do catch the autumn afternoon light beautifully.

Four – The fragrant flowers of Daphne × transatlantica ‘Eternal Fragrance’.

Five – I cut back the stems of Achillea millefolium several weeks ago and a few have recommenced producing flower heads.

Six – A shrub rose (variety unknown) growing amongst other shrubs in our front hedge and providing a final show of colour.
