This week’s Top Ten Tuesday topic is Books I Was Reading On This Day Over The Last Ten Years. Wow, what a great topic but what a tricky one! Even with recourse to Goodreads and my blog, I found it too hard to pin down what I was reading on the exact day each year. So my list shows the books I finished reading on a date as close as possible to 11th of August every year since 2016. Links from each title will take you to my review.

I don’t know about you, but whilst undertaking this exercise I came across several books I could remember nothing about or couldn’t remember reading at all! Also, that I used to read way more books every year than I do now and a wider range of genres, probably because I used to take part in many more blog tours. Finally, that at some point I need to go through old blog posts removing links to giveaways, etc.

    1. I know what you mean. I’ve learned a lot since I started my blog and there are lots of things I’d do differently. I’ve deleted some older posts, mainly memes like this one, but it can get complex where there are links to and from other posts. From time to time I update old posts and convert them to blocks, check links are still valid, etc.

  6. The London Scene sounds interesting. I like reading about how various cultures used to be in the past. Sometimes you find cool similarities to today. (Or maybe you don’t and you learn something totally new!)

  7. I’ve only read The House at Devil’s Neck, although I usually enjoy Hazel Gaynor’s books so I would like to read The Bird in the Bamboo Cage. This was definitely an interesting exercise and I was also reminded of some books I’d almost forgotten about.
