Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme created by The Broke and the Bookish and now hosted by Jana at That Artsy Reader Girl.
The rules are simple:
- Each Tuesday, Jana assigns a new topic. Create your own Top Ten list that fits that topic – putting your unique spin on it if you want.
- Everyone is welcome to join but please link back to That Artsy Reader Girl in your own Top Ten Tuesday post.
- Add your name to the Linky widget on that day’s post so that everyone can check out other bloggers’ lists.
- Or if you don’t have a blog, just post your answers as a comment.
This week’s Top Ten Tuesday topic is Books I Want to Read by New to Me Authors. Links from each title will take you to the book description on Goodreads.
- Fair Play by Louise Hegarty – My book club’s pick for July
- The Correspondent by Virginia Evans – My book club’s pick for August
- Miss Veal and Miss Ham by Vicki Heywood – Purchased at author event at Winchester Books Festival
- Under A Metal Sky by Philip Marsden – A BBC Radio 4 Book of the Week
- Edenglassie by Melissa Lucashenko – Longlisted for the Walter Scott Prize for Historical Fiction 2026
- Boundary Waters by Tristan Hughes – Ditto
- Rose & Renzo by Carolyn O’Brien – Because Northodox Press never let me down when it comes to historical fiction
- Trials of the Heart by Stephen Wade – Ditto
- The Names by Florence Knapp – Well it was everywhere last year, wasn’t it?
- The Artist by Lucy Steeds – Ditto, plus I recently attended an event with the author

Hope you enjoy The Names – The Correspondent is on mine too…not that I’ve written this week’s TTT yet 😂

Very interesting choices. I’ve only read/reviewed The Correspondent. I added Rose/Renzo to my TBR–thanks
