Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme created by The Broke and the Bookish and now hosted by Jana at That Artsy Reader Girl.
The rules are simple:
- Each Tuesday, Jana assigns a new topic. Create your own Top Ten list that fits that topic – putting your unique spin on it if you want.
- Everyone is welcome to join but please link back to That Artsy Reader Girl in your own Top Ten Tuesday post.
- Add your name to the Linky widget on that day’s post so that everyone can check out other bloggers’ lists.
- Or if you don’t have a blog, just post your answers as a comment.
This week’s Top Ten Tuesday is Book Covers Featuring Cool/Pretty/Unique Typography. These ten covers caught my attention because the typography seems in tune with the subject matter of the book or its setting. Links from the cover image will take you to my review.

A great selection Cathy. We have The Eights in common.

I nearly used For Thy Great Pain this week too, then changed my mind. I’d forgotten about the covers of The Eights and Glorious Exploits, though, both of which I read and enjoyed last year!

I’m enjoying looking at all the amazing covers people have picked. Just right for the gloomy day it is here in Berkshire.

I love when the cover artists incorporate the title into the image.

Yes, it’s so clever. I think cover designers are the often unsung heroes/heroines of the publishing world.

I love that Diane Setterfield one. Years ago when the book was first released I listened to her reading an excerpt as we sailed along the Thames. Rather apt. It was back when the Henley Literary Festival staged some events aboard a pleasure cruiser. The Festival’s got too big for that now sadly.

I like the newspaper-y one. Very cool. Both the cover and the title are attention-grabbing for sure!
Happy TTT (on a Wednesday)!
