Today’s Top Ten Tuesday was all about looking ahead to the books we hope to read between now and the end of November so I thought it was the ideal time to check how I got on with my Summer To-Read list made back in June.
I’m quietly pleased with how many of them I managed to read, especially as some had been in my TBR pile for years. Links from the title will take you to my review.
- Behind the Scenes at the Museum by Kate Atkinson Read & reviewed
- The Mirror & The Light by Hilary Mantel Read & reviewed
- Go Set A Watchman by Harper Lee Read & reviewed
- Exit West by Mohsin Hamid Read & reviewed
- The Body in the Ice by A. J. Mackenzie Read & reviewed
- The Summer House Party by Caro Fraser Read & reviewed
- The Dark Isle by Clare Carson Read & reviewed
- Pompeii by Robert Harris Still unread
- The Assassin of Verona by Benet Brandreth Still unread
- Transcription by Kate Atkinson Still unread
If you made a summer reading list, did you get through all the books you hoped?

Good job on your summer reading list! I liked Transcription a lot but I think some Atkinson fans were disappointed by that one. I hope you enjoy it.

That’s encouraging about Transcription. It has been on my bookshelf for years and I somehow haven’t got around to reading it. I have it on audio as well so I’ll probably switch between that and physical copy.

Thanks. I’m trying to find a balance between keeping up with NetGalley reviews (I’m down to 7 on my shelf including 2 I’ve already read but just need to write the reviews) and reading books I already own.

You’re the second person to say that so that makes me feel confident I will.
