Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme created by The Broke and the Bookish and now hosted by Jana at That Artsy Reader Girl.
The rules are simple:
- Each Tuesday, Jana assigns a new topic. Create your own Top Ten list that fits that topic – putting your unique spin on it if you want.
- Everyone is welcome to join but please link back to That Artsy Reader Girl in your own Top Ten Tuesday post.
- Add your name to the Linky widget on that day’s post so that everyone can check out other bloggers’ lists.
- Or if you don’t have a blog, just post your answers as a comment.
This week’s Top Ten Tuesday topic is Books With Springy Covers. I’ve gone slightly off-topic with books whose titles feature things I associate with spring in the UK, even if not always reflected in their covers or subject matter. Links from each title will take you to my review or the book description on Goodreads.
- Daffodils by Alex Martin
- Before the Swallows Come Back by Fiona Curnow
- Peach Blossom Spring by Melissa Fu
- Nesting by Roisin O’Donnell
- The Secrets of Primrose Square by Claudia Carroll
- Songbirds by Christy Lefteri
- This Green and Pleasant Land by Ayisha Malik
- Black Butterflies by Priscilla Morris
- The Secret Life of Bees by Sue Monk Kidd
- Tulip Fever by Deborah Moggach

Great selection, Cathy. I really struggled this week so went in a completely different direction https://damppebbles.com/2025/04/08/toptentuesday-8th-april-2025/

I always find cover ones difficult because I rarely remember them and don’t have time to go searching through my shelves.

Love your alternative choice of topic. It’s a long time since I had the courage to embark on a book over 1,000 pages long but I seemed to have no problem doing that when I was younger.

Great twist, Cathy. I tried titles, but gave up and just picked covers with flowers on them.

I was the other way around. I couldn’t be bothered to go through the books on my shelves to find suitable covers although I suppose I could have browsed my Goodreads shelves. Now she thinks of it…

There are several keywords in these titles that I would use to describe spring.

I find it difficult to remember the colours of book covers so using titles seemed easier.

You found some good ones there. I’m hopeless at remembering what’s on the cover of books.
