Top Ten Tuesday

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme created by The Broke and the Bookish and now hosted by Jana at That Artsy Reader Girl.

The rules are simple:

  • Each Tuesday, Jana assigns a new topic. Create your own Top Ten list that fits that topic – putting your unique spin on it if you want.
  • Everyone is welcome to join but please link back to That Artsy Reader Girl in your own Top Ten Tuesday post.
  • Add your name to the Linky widget on that day’s post so that everyone can check out other bloggers’ lists.
  • Or if you don’t have a blog, just post your answers as a comment.

This week’s topic is Books/Covers that Feel/Look Like Summer. Here are ten books whose covers make me think of summer, starting with a Dirk Bogarde trio. Links from the titles will take you to my review or Goodreads.

Great Meadow by Dirk Bogarde
Jericho by Dirk Bogarde
Voices in the Garden by Dirk Bogarde
An Edwardian Summer by John S. Goodall

The Summer of Impossible Things by Rowan Coleman
The Summer House Party by Caro Fraser
Two Woman in Rome by Elizabeth Buchan
Summer of the Three Pagodas by Jean Moran
This Green and Plesant Land by Ayisha Malik
One August Night by Victoria Hislop

  1. Outstanding!! I love the whole series of these: An Edwardian Summer by John S. Goodall and have many of them. The Summer House Party is one I should read this summer–thanks for that!
