Six on Saturday is a weekly meme hosted by The Propagator. If you’d like to join in you can find more details here.
How is it we’re already a third of the wat through the year and whatever happened to April showers?
- The first two containers of Rocket potatoes are coming along well and have just been topped up with compost.
- There was quite a lot of blossom on the cordon pears this year but only a few signs of fruits forming (if you look carefully).
- Blossom on one of the apple trees (possibly James Grieve or Suntan) planted by the garden’s previous owner.
4. The choisya is in full bloom and wafting delicious scent across its corner of the garden, fully living up to its common name of Mexican Orange Blossom.
5. Some brightly coloured tulips still putting on a show and vying one another as to which can grow the tallest.
6. A lovely little book I was sent this week by September Publishing to review on my blog – The Healing Power of Nature. It contains inspirational quotes and sketches by Vincent Van Gogh.
Enjoy your garden or outside space this week.

I wish I could smell your Mexican orange blossom. It looks wonderful.

It’s been rainy and snowy Spring so far up here in Canada, so gardening hasn’t been a priority. Your plants look lovely!
