How time flies because it’s time for another Classics Club Spin and a welcome prompt to read a book from my Classics Club list.
For those unfamiliar with how the spin works, here are the step-by-step instructions:
At your blog, before Sunday 18th April 2021, create a post that lists twenty books of your choice that remain to be read on your Classics Club list. This is your Spin List. You have to read one of these twenty books by the end of the spin period. On 18th April the folks at The Classics Club will post a number from 1 through 20. The challenge is to read whatever book falls under that number on your Spin List by 31st May 2021.
Since I have very few unread books on my list – yay! – I’ve included those I do have left more than once.
- Miss Pettigrew Lives for a Day by Winifred Watson
- Invitation to the Waltz by Rosamond Lehmann
- Gaudy Night by Dorothy L Sayers
- Mrs. Palfrey at the Claremont by Elizabeth Taylor
- Business as Usual by Jane Oliver & Ann Stafford

Will you be taking part in the Classics Club Spin #26? If so, what are you excited about (or daunted by) the prospect of reading from your list?

Business as Usual and Miss Pettigrew would get my vote!

Mine too, especially as Miss Pettigrew would mean a trip to a bookshop as I don’t currently own a copy 😀

This sounds like a great challenge. I have a few classics in my shelves that I would love to tackle.

Miss Pettigrew is a light, fun read so I hope you get that one. Good luck!

Well, I don’t know how you did it but that’s the one selected 😀

I really should do this, and if I don’t have easy access to 20 classics, just do like this – double or triple up on the ones I do have.

lovely sounding titles here, I’ve read Gaudy Night and Miss Pettigrew (which were good and great)but I’m interested in Business as Usual, will you be able to go to a book shop for that one?!

Business As Usual is already on my bookshelf so even though it wouldn’t mean a trip to a bookshop I’d be happy if it’s picked.
