Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme created by The Broke and the Bookish and now hosted by Jana at That Artsy Reader Girl.
The rules are simple:
Each Tuesday, Jana assigns a new topic. Create your own Top Ten list that fits that topic – putting your unique spin on it if you want. Everyone is welcome to join but please link back to That Artsy Reader Girl in your own Top Ten Tuesday post. Add your name to the Linky widget on that day’s post so that everyone can check out other bloggers’ lists. Or if you don’t have a blog, just post your answers as a comment.
This week’s topic is New-to-Me Authors I Read in 2020. I love being introduced to new authors, especially if they have a back catalogue of other titles for me to explore. Here are just ten I discovered in 2020. Links from the titles will take you to my review.
Joseph O’Connor (Shadowplay)
Ocean Vuong (On Earth We’re Briefly Gorgeous)
Celia Rees (Miss Graham’s Cold War Cookbook)
Sarah Hawkswood (River of Sins)
David Young (Stasi Winter and The Stasi Game)
Carol Shields (The Stone Diaries)
Jodi Picoult (Small Great Things)
C.S. Quinn (The Scarlet Code)
Christine Dwyer Hickey (The Narrow Land)
Lucy Adlington (Summerland)
Which new authors did you discover in 2020?

What did you think of Picoult? I’ve seen many books by this author. I hope you can stop by:

As you’ll see from my review, I absolutely loved Small Great Things. On the recommendation of another blogger who’s read more of her books, I’ve recently acquired Nineteen Minutes although I haven’t started it yet.

I read The Stone Diaries years ago (just before I began blogging) and enjoyed it. I read a few more before that one, but there are still some of hers I’d like to read. Miss Graham’s Cold War Cookbook sounds good!

On Earth We’re Briefly Gorgeous was so beautiful. I read that last year as well. Oh, and Small Great Things by Jody Picoult. Love, love that book!
Thanks for sharing!

I’m a big Picoult fan, although I haven’t read most of her newer books. I do love her older ones, though. Her books always make me think. Glad you discovered her and all these others this year.
Happy TTT!

I’ve read only one Picoult and never got around to more of her books, thanks for the reminder. Happy reading! https://readwithstefani.com/popular-books-i-did-not-finish/

Brilliant list! I love ocean vuong and I’ve always wanted to try the stone diaries (although they seem a little daunting!). I seem to be really bad at following the ttt prompts lol so this week I tried top ten bookish things that annoy me. Although there could have been SO MANY MORE 😫 Here’s my post in case you’re interested 🙂 https://hundredsandthousandsofbooks.blog/2021/01/26/ttt-26-1-top-ten-bookish-things-i-hate/
