#TopTenTuesday Book Covers With Striking Typography #TuesdayBookBlog

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme created by The Broke and the Bookish and now hosted by Jana at That Artsy Reader Girl.

The rules are simple:

  • Each Tuesday, Jana assigns a new topic. Create your own Top Ten list that fits that topic – putting your unique spin on it if you want.
  • Everyone is welcome to join but please link back to That Artsy Reader Girl in your own Top Ten Tuesday post.
  • Add your name to the Linky widget on that day’s post so that everyone can check out other bloggers’ lists.
  • Or if you don’t have a blog, just post your answers as a comment.

This week’s Top Ten Tuesday is Book Covers Featuring Cool/Pretty/Unique Typography. These ten covers caught my attention because the typography seems in tune with the subject matter of the book or its setting. Links from the cover image will take you to my review.

What’s In A Name? Challenge 2026 – Sign Up

The What’s In A Name Challenge is being hosted again for 2026 by Andrea at Carolina Book Nook. I managed – just – to complete the challenge last year so I’m going to join in again.

The challenge runs from 1st January to 31st December 2026. You can sign up at any time but can only count books you read between those dates. Read a book in any format (hard copy, ebook, audio) with a title that fits into each category. (Andrea has provided some examples for each category on the challenge sign-up page.) You can’t use the same book for more than one category but creativity in matching the categories is not only allowed, it’s encouraged!

You can choose your books as you go or make a list ahead of time. Remarkably I’ve managed to find possibilties for all six categories in my TBR pile. Most of them have been there for a long time so I’m hoping this is the motivation I need to turn ‘waiting to be read’ into ‘read’. Links from each title will take you to the book description on Goodreads or – eventually, I hope – my review.
