Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme created by The Broke and the Bookish and now hosted by Jana at That Artsy Reader Girl.
The rules are simple:
- Each Tuesday, Jana assigns a new topic. Create your own Top Ten list that fits that topic – putting your unique spin on it if you want.
- Everyone is welcome to join but please link back to That Artsy Reader Girl in your own Top Ten Tuesday post.
- Add your name to the Linky widget on that day’s post so that everyone can check out other bloggers’ lists.
- Or if you don’t have a blog, just post your answers as a comment.
This week’s Top Ten Tuesday topic is Books On My Winter 2025-2026 To-Read List. Here are ten books I want to read between now and the end of February. It’s a mix of 2026 ARCs, book club picks and books from my TBR pile. Links from each title will take you to the book description on Goodreads.
- Helm by Sarah Hall (Faber & Faber)
- A Granite Silence by Nina Allan (Riverrun)
- Whale Fall by Elizabeth O’Connor (Picador)
- Benbecula by Graeme Macrae Burnet (Polygon)
- Room 706 by Ellie Levenson (ARC, Headline Review) – publishes 15th January
- Supremacy: AI, ChatGPT and the Race That Will Change the World by Parmy Olson (Macmillan Business)
- Wild Dark Shore by Charlotte McConaghy (Macmillan)
- Female, Nude by Rhiannon Lucy Cosslett (ARC, Tinder Press) – publishes 12th February
- The Shock of the Light by Lori Inglis Hall (eARC, The Borough Press) – publishes 12th February
- Julia Sleeps by Zoe Caryl
Which books do you hope will be keeping you company over the next few months?

I just read Wild Dark Shore which has excellent, I hope you enjoy it.

I didn’t like Wild Dark Shore as much as her others but it’s still good. Hope you enjoy your winter reading!

I don’t think it’s a book I would have chosen myself but I’m going into it with an open mind.

Room 706 has such an interesting synopsis. I was tempted many time to request an ARC.

I was given a proof copy at an event with the author at Henley Literary Festival in October. Probably not a book I’d have chosen otherwise but I’ll keep an open mind.

I just tried to post a comment, but it didn’t go through. Sorry if this is a duplicate.
I’ll be interested to see what you think of WILD DARK SHORE. It was a slow, not entirely satisfying read for me. I didn’t hate it, but I didn’t love it like I wanted to either. Enjoy your winter reading.
Happy TTT (on a Wednesday)!
