Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme created by The Broke and the Bookish and now hosted by Jana at That Artsy Reader Girl.
The rules are simple:
- Each Tuesday, Jana assigns a new topic. Create your own Top Ten list that fits that topic – putting your unique spin on it if you want.
- Everyone is welcome to join but please link back to That Artsy Reader Girl in your own Top Ten Tuesday post.
- Add your name to the Linky widget on that day’s post so that everyone can check out other bloggers’ lists.
- Or if you don’t have a blog, just post your answers as a comment.
This week’s Top Ten Tuesday topic is 2024 Releases I Was Excited to Read But Still Haven’t Got To. I can safely say that any book I add to my TBR pile is one I’m excited about reading but being excited about it and actually getting around to reading it are two different things I have discovered!
All the books in my list are 2024 releases I acquired last year. And for those of you murmuring, ‘How can she not have read that yet, it’s brilliant!’, I hear you, I really do. I’m just glad this topic doesn’t ask you to look at 2023 releases you were excited about that you still haven’t read!
Links from each title will take you to the book description on Goodreads.
- James and John: A True Story of Prejudice and Murder by Chris Bryant
- Burma Sahib by Paul Theroux
- There Are Rivers in the Sky by Elif Shafak
- The Safekeep by Yael van der Wouden
- Tell Me Everything by Elizabeth Strout
- The Betrayal of Thomas True by A. J. West
- The Mischief Makers by Elisabeth Gifford
- The Silence Factory by Bridget Collins
- The Spoiled Heart by Sunjeev Sahota
- The Midnight Hour by Eve Chase
What 2024 releases are still sitting in your TBR pile?

I love the cover of the Eve Chase book.

I’m still curious for Elif Shafak, but I think I need to be in the right headspace for this one as it gives me slow vibes and i want something more fast-paced after my current read.
