Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme created by The Broke and the Bookish and now hosted by Jana at That Artsy Reader Girl.
The rules are simple:
- Each Tuesday, Jana assigns a new topic. Create your own Top Ten list that fits that topic – putting your unique spin on it if you want.
- Everyone is welcome to join but please link back to That Artsy Reader Girl in your own Top Ten Tuesday post.
- Add your name to the Linky widget on that day’s post so that everyone can check out other bloggers’ lists.
- Or if you don’t have a blog, just post your answers as a comment.
This week’s Top Ten Tuesday topic is Ten Characters Authors Surprisingly Redeemed. Apologies to Deanna at A Novel Glimpse who suggested it but I could not for the life of me come up with any ideas for this one. Instead I’ve taken a different direction, you might say. Links from each title will take you to my review.
- North Woods by Daniel Mason
- The Northern Reach by W. S. Winslow
- The Cold North Sea by Jeff Dawson
- Secrets of Southern Girls by Haley Harrigan
- South Riding by Winifred Holtby
- West Heart Kill by Dann McDorman
- Run to the Western Shore by Tim Pears
- Ghosts of the West by Alec Marsh
- The Western Wind by Samantha Harvey
- The Moral Compass by K. A. Servian

Love this – great idea! I was stumped by this week’s topic too.

I always feel guilty when I can’t come up with something for a topic someone else has suggested. Mind you, there have been probably been a lot of people who’ve struggled with ones I’ve suggested!

Interesting approach! I haven’t read any.

I’m not sure I’m brave enough to look back at my Summer TBR list!

I found this week’s topic tough, which was why I chickened out. I’m impressed you managed to come up with so many.

I feel like many of us struggled with this week’s topic. I didn’t stick to it either, instead I did a cover post.

Yes, I thought it was a tough one.

I like your topic for this week! I might do the same in a Freebie week or a week when I can’t come up with any ideas for the topic. I’ll acknowledge your blog of course.

Thanks. I just wish I’d managed to find some ‘east’ ones but I wanted to stick to books I’d actually read.

A different direction, or did you sway in the wind?
