My Top 5 July 2024 Reads @HoZ_Books @KarenJewellBook @penguinbooksuk

My Top Five July 2024 Reads (1)Welcome to my wrap-up of the books I read in July. I managed to finish eight books which was slightly less than I hoped for given we’re in the final month of the 20 Books of Summer Reading Challenge and I’m quite a way off twenty!

Links from each title will take you to my full review or the book description on Goodreads. Check out the list of all the books I’ve read so far in 2024. If we’re not already friends on Goodreads, send me a friend request or follow my reviews.

My thanks to Head of Zeus, Karen Jewell and Penguin UK for providing me with digital review copies.

Five StarsDead Ground by Graham Hurley (Head of Zeus) – a gripping historical thriller with twists and turns aplenty

Dark Frontier by Matthew Harffy (Head of Zeus) – authentic, gripping and action-packed Western set in 19th century Oregon

In the Garden of Sorrows by Karen Jewell (MindStir Media) – passionate, moving and immersive story set in the aftermath of WW1

The Trap (Alias Emma #3) by Ava Glass (Penguin) – gripping contemporary spy thriller

Normal Rules Don’t Apply by Kate Atkinson (Vintage) – playful and inventive short story collection

What were the best books you read last month? Have you read any of my picks?
