#TopTenTuesday More or Less … Book Titles Containing Antonyms #TuesdayBookBlog

Top Ten TuesdayTop Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme created by The Broke and the Bookish and now hosted by Jana at That Artsy Reader Girl.

The rules are simple:

  • Each Tuesday, Jana assigns a new topic. Create your own Top Ten list that fits that topic – putting your unique spin on it if you want.
  • Everyone is welcome to join but please link back to That Artsy Reader Girl in your own Top Ten Tuesday post.
  • Add your name to the Linky widget on that day’s post so that everyone can check out other bloggers’ lists.
  • Or if you don’t have a blog, just post your answers as a comment.

This week’s Top Ten Tuesday topic is Books I Wish Had More/Less […] In Them. Interpreting ‘more’ as the opposite of ‘less’, I’ve selected ten book titles made up of opposing elements. Links from each title will take you to the book description on Goodreads.

  1. Big Little Lies by Liane Moriarty
  2. The Agony and the Ecstasy by Irving Stone
  3. War and Peace by Leo Tolstoy
  4. North and South by Elizabeth Gaskell
  5. Angels & Demons by Dan Brown
  6. Sorrow and Bliss by Meg Mason
  7. Night and Day by Virginia Woolf
  8. Heroes and Villains by Angela Carter
  9. All Creatures Great and Small by James Herriot
  10. River East, River West by Aube Rey Lescure

What other examples can you think of?

  1. Fabulous twist on the theme! I can only think of Noughts and Crosses by Malorie Blackman but I think they are really just a pair rather than opposites!
