Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme created by The Broke and the Bookish and now hosted by Jana at That Artsy Reader Girl.
The rules are simple:
- Each Tuesday, Jana assigns a new topic. Create your own Top Ten list that fits that topic – putting your unique spin on it if you want.
- Everyone is welcome to join but please link back to That Artsy Reader Girl in your own Top Ten Tuesday post.
- Add your name to the Linky widget on that day’s post so that everyone can check out other bloggers’ lists.
- Or if you don’t have a blog, just post your answers as a comment.
This week’s Top Ten Tuesday topic is a Throwback Freebie, i.e. pick a previous topic you missed, would like to repeat or to update. I’ve chosen the latter, looking back at my post Books on My Spring 2024 To Read List to see how many I actually read.
Spoiler: No-one will be more surprised than I am by the results. Indeed, ‘mood readers’ may be discombobulated by such discipline. Links from each title will take you to my review.
- How to Make a Bomb by Rupert Thomson

- Sword of the War God by Tim Hodkinson
- Sweetness in the Skin by Ishi Robinson

- Girl Friends by Alex Dahl

- The Household by Stacey Halls

- James by Percival Everett

- A Plague of Serpents by K.J. Maitland

- A Beginner’s Guide to Breaking and Entering by Andrew Hunter Murray

- The Coming Storm by Greg Mosse

- Absolutely & Forever by Rose Tremain

Blimey! You must be delighted, Cathy.

That is amazing, Cathy, good for you. I checked and have only read 7 of mine, but for 1 I am still on the waiting list at the library, so not too bad.

Seven is brilliant. This is the first time in ages I’ve got anywhere completing my list.

Now that I have looked at it, I will try to read the other 3 soon.

Nice job getting through all of them! I am a mood reader, but when I have things that need reading for book clubs or whatever, I can generally push through them. It’s when I don’t have a list that I get aimless. 😀

I’m a list maker at heart. I used to be in project management so I guess that’s where it stems from.

Great job finishing all 10 books. I was 7.5 for 10, as I’m still reading one.

I’m always pleased if I make it to 3 or 4 out of 10!

Well done! Everyone seems to be reading James, I wonder if I’ll surrender to the hype at some point. 🙂
