#TopTenTuesday Books On My Spring 2024 To-Read List #TuesdayBookBlog

Top Ten TuesdayTop Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme created by The Broke and the Bookish and now hosted by Jana at That Artsy Reader Girl.

The rules are simple:

  • Each Tuesday, Jana assigns a new topic. Create your own Top Ten list that fits that topic – putting your unique spin on it if you want.
  • Everyone is welcome to join but please link back to That Artsy Reader Girl in your own Top Ten Tuesday post.
  • Add your name to the Linky widget on that day’s post so that everyone can check out other bloggers’ lists.
  • Or if you don’t have a blog, just post your answers as a comment.

This week’s topic is Books on my Spring 2024 TBR. I’m concentrating on books I plan to – or rather, need to – read in April, a combination of NetGalley ARCs and books for blog tours. I’m also hoping to squeeze in some of the books on the longlist for The Walter Scott Prize for Historical Fiction, the shortlist for which will be announced in May. Links from each title will take you to the book description on Goodreads.

  1. How to Make a Bomb by Rupert Thomson (publishes on 11th April)
  2. Sword of the War God by Tim Hodkinson (publishes on 11th April)
  3. Sweetness in the Skin by Ishi Robinson (publishes on 11th April)
  4. Girl Friends by Alex Dahl (publishes on 11th April)
  5. The Household by Stacey Halls (publishes on 11th April)
  6. James by Percival Everett (publishes on, you’ve guessed it, 11th April)
  7. A Plague of Serpents by K.J. Maitland (publishes on 25th April)
  8. A Beginner’s Guide to Breaking and Entering by Andrew Hunter Murray (publishes on 25th April)
  9. The Coming Storm by Greg Mosse (publishes on 25th April)
  10. Absolutely & Forever by Rose Tremain (longlisted for The Walter Scott Prize)

What books are you looking forward to reading in the next few months?

  1. I’ve got Absolutely and Forever from the library. Hope to read it this week. Have also ordered The House of Doors which I think is ready for me to pick up.

    1. I’d already read The House of Doors, My Father’s House and The New Life before they appeared on the longlist. I’ve since read Hungry Ghosts and A Better Place (still to write my review of that last one)
