Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme created by The Broke and the Bookish and now hosted by Jana at That Artsy Reader Girl.
The rules are simple:
- Each Tuesday, Jana assigns a new topic. Create your own Top Ten list that fits that topic – putting your unique spin on it if you want.
- Everyone is welcome to join but please link back to That Artsy Reader Girl in your own Top Ten Tuesday post.
- Add your name to the Linky widget on that day’s post so that everyone can check out other bloggers’ lists.
- Or if you don’t have a blog, just post your answers as a comment.
This week’s topic is New-to-Me Authors I Discovered in 2023. Looking back at the books I read in 2023, I’m quite pleased to find many of them were by new-to-me authors. (I’ve excluded debut authors on the basis they’re new to everyone!) Links from the title will take you to my review.
- The Binding by Bridget Collins
- The Murder Wheel by Tom Mead
- The Traitor by Ava Glass
- Adama by Lavie Tidhar
- The Well of Saint Nobody by Neil Jordan
- Held by Anne Michaels
- The Geometer Lobachevsky by Adrian Duncan
- The Scarlet Papers by Matthew Richardson
- The Chosen by Elizabeth Lowry
- The Settlement by Jock Serong
What authors did you discover in 2023?

I think I’ve raved incessantly about Held so I’ll just say I hope you love it.

I think the only one I might have read on here is Lowry. I’m glad you found some great new authors.

Ava Glass is the only author on your list I’ve heard of, and her books do look compelling! I need to check them out one of these days.
Happy TTT (on a Wednesday)!
