Top Ten Tuesday

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme created by The Broke and the Bookish and now hosted by Jana at That Artsy Reader Girl.

The rules are simple:

  • Each Tuesday, Jana assigns a new topic. Create your own Top Ten list that fits that topic – putting your unique spin on it if you want.
  • Everyone is welcome to join but please link back to That Artsy Reader Girl in your own Top Ten Tuesday post.
  • Add your name to the Linky widget on that day’s post so that everyone can check out other bloggers’ lists.
  • Or if you don’t have a blog, just post your answers as a comment.

Number OneThis week’s Top Ten Tuesday topic is Books With One Word Titles, an idea suggested by Angela at Reading Frenzy Book Blog. I must admit I initially thought I’d have more books with one word titles but I’d almost got to the end of the alphabet before I came up with ten. My conclusion: one word titles are popular for historical thrillers… Links from each title will take you to my review.

Bellatrix by Simon Turney

Charlotte by Helen Moffett
Hamnet by Maggie O’Farrell
Katastrophe by Graham Hurley

What books with one word titles do you have on your bookshelves?

  1. This was really tricky wasn’t it! I had to go back through my Goodreads shelf to January 2021 to finally get ten. I’ve read Charlotte and Hamnet from your selection. My list will go love very soon!

    1. And I could have had Corpus and Nucleus as well of course! Yes, I heard he has a new one but hadn’t realised until it was a standalone. I’ve been checking NetGalley regularly to see if it’s available to request!
