#TopTenTuesday Books With Animals In Their Titles

Top Ten Tuesday

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme created by The Broke and the Bookish and now hosted by Jana at That Artsy Reader Girl.

The rules are simple:

  • Each Tuesday, Jana assigns a new topic. Create your own Top Ten list that fits that topic – putting your unique spin on it if you want.
  • Everyone is welcome to join but please link back to That Artsy Reader Girl in your own Top Ten Tuesday post.
  • Add your name to the Linky widget on that day’s post so that everyone can check out other bloggers’ lists.
  • Or if you don’t have a blog, just post your answers as a comment.

This week’s topic is Titles with Animals In Them, a topic suggested by Rachel at Sunny Side. At first I couldn’t think of any that fitted the bill but a browse through my Read shelf on Goodreads made me realise otherwise. So welcome to my menagerie of books. Links from the titles will take you to my review.

The Bird in the Bamboo Cage by Hazel Gaynor
Court of Lions by Jane Johnson
The Night Tiger by Yangsze Choo
The White Hare by Jane Johnson
Seek the Singing Fish by Roma Wells
Essex Dogs by Dan Snow
Black Butterflies by Priscilla Morris
Death and the Penguin by Andrey Kurkov
The Silver Wolf by J. C. Harvey
The Island of Sheep by John Buchan

  2. These are all great covers, Cathy. The only one I have read is The Bird in the Bamboo Cage, but it had a different title over here.
