Historical Fiction Reading Challenge 2023 hosted by Marg at The Intrepid Reader.
I’m aiming for ‘Prehistoric’ level which means reading 50+ historical fiction books. I’ve read 15 so far so I’m just about on track.
This is my own personal challenge, to read two books from the backlists of six authors: Robert Olen Butler, Andrew Miller, John Boyne, Clare Chambers, Jess Kidd and Fiona Kidman.

I did the historical reading challenge last year but I was way less ambitious than you and just went for the Renaissance level. This year I’m doing a nautical fiction reading challenge but have only completed two out of ten challenges so far, so I better get cracking.

Nautical historical fiction – that sounds interesting. I went through a phase of reading the whole of Patrick O’Brian’s Aubrey/Maturin series.

Well done, my dear! Keep up the great work! I’m reading my 4th WIAN book, and I think I have one for the 7 Deadly Sins, but nothing yet for the last one You or Me.

I also think I have one for the 7 Deadly Sins – Appetite by Philip Kazan – but I just need to find time to take it off the shelf (where it has been sitting for several years) and read it!
