Six on Saturday is a weekly meme hosted by The Propagator. If you’d like to join in you can find more details here.
Progress this week has been affected by Covid-19 in the household and the changeable weather. However, in a quick trip around the garden between the showers, I spotted these:
- Brightly coloured tulips at the bottom of the garden.
- Triumph tulips planted in a container last November which, despite having been advertised as a mix of colours, have confined themselves to pastel shades so far.
- A pulmonaria (if you look carefully) which has made its home amongst the ivy (and assorted weeds) at the bottom of a hawthorn hedge
4. The latest round of seed sowing is three varieties of courgette – ‘Lemona’ (yellow), ‘Romanesco Latino’ (ribbed) and ‘Modena’ (dark green)
5. The ‘Chocolate Cherry’ tomato plants are making progress (although the two runty ones are hidden at the back!)
6. An attractive combination of heather and spring bulbs in a border in the grounds of Eastwell Manor near Ashford in Kent
Enjoy your garden or outside space this week.

It’s still too cold for anything here, but soon, I hope.

You have just reminded me that – although I am not doing many vegetables to provide the local beasties with a feast – I will certainly plant courgettes. Meanwhile, I reckon I have far more weeds than you. ๐ฌ๐คจ

I so envy people who can grow plants and veggies. I can kill even the plastic ones!
