I read 15 books in December. Links from each title will take you to my review. You can find a list of all the books I read in 2021 here. If we’re not already friends on Goodreads, send me a friend request or follow my reviews.
The Visitors by Caroline Scott (Simon & Schuster) – An eloquent, tender and emotional story set in the years after the First World War
Where God Does Not Walk by Luke McCallin (No Exit Press) – A prequel combining a complex mystery and the experiences of the young Gregor Reinhardt during the First World War
Small Things Like These by Claire Keegan (Faber) – A quietly powerful novel, an exquisite little gem of a book
Little by Edward Carey (Gallic Books) – A brilliantly quirky fictionalised account of the life of the woman who would become Madame Tussaud
Love After Love by Ingrid Persaud (Faber) – A both heart-warming and heart-breaking story set in Trinidad
What books were your favourites in December? Have you read any of my picks?

Small Things Like These is an incredible read, isn’t it? I read it just before Christmas and I keep finding myself thinking about it.
