Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme created by The Broke and the Bookish and now hosted by Jana at That Artsy Reader Girl.
The rules are simple:
Each Tuesday, Jana assigns a new topic. Create your own Top Ten list that fits that topic – putting your unique spin on it if you want. Everyone is welcome to join but please link back to That Artsy Reader Girl in your own Top Ten Tuesday post. Add your name to the Linky widget on that day’s post so that everyone can check out other bloggers’ lists. Or if you don’t have a blog, just post your answers as a comment.
This week’s topic is Most Anticipated Releases for the First Half of 2021. My list includes only books I’m lucky enough to have received an advance review copy of, either digital or physical. (Links from the titles will take you the book description on Goodreads.)
The Prophets by James Jones, Jr. (published by Quercus on 5th January)
A Prince and a Spy by Rory Clements (published by Zaffre on 21st January)
Daughters of Night by Laura Shepherd-Robinson (published by Mantle on 18th February)
Madam by Phoebe Wynne (published by Quercus on 18th February)
Nick by Michael Farris Smith (published by No Exit Press on 25th February)
The Garden of Angels by David Hewson (published by Severn House on 1st March)
Dangerous Women by Hope Adams (published by Michael Joseph on 4th March)
The Drowned City by K. J. Maitland (published by Headline on 1st April)
The Final Revival of Opal and Nev by Dawnie Walton (published by Quercus on 20th April)

Are any of my anticipated books on your list?

I’m halfway through A Prince and A Spy and it’s as good as I expected it to be!

Interesting choices–I’ll have to look at a few of them in detail since I haven’t heard of them. Nick is on my list, too.

Comment # 2–thank you! Rory Clements book is right up my alley. (Plus in a book of mine I have a character whose given names are Rory Clement!)

With all due respect, I don’t think I’d read Nick… I loved Gatsby too much!

I agree it’s quite an undertaking given it’s such an iconic novel. We’ll see..

Mind you, they say that Wide Saragaso Sea is good, and it is prequel to Jane Eyre.

You read my mind as I was going to mention Wide Sargasso Sea as a prequel that really does work, adding another perspective on a character from the original book.
