My Life In Books 2020

Thanks to Karen at Booker Talk for prompting me to play this again and to Annabel who came up with the latest version. The challenge is…using only books you have read this year (2020), answer these prompts. Try not to repeat a book title.  Links from the title will take you to my reviews.

In high school I was Dear Child (Romy Hausmann)

People might be surprised by The Last Secrets (John Buchan)

I will never be Hitler’s Secret (Rory Clements)

My life in lockdown was like Distorted Days (Louise Worthington)

My fantasy job is Hermit (S.R. White)

At the end of a long day I need The Last of the Wine (Mary Renault)

I hate being The Figure in the Photograph (Kevin Sullivan)

Wish I had A Little London Scandal (Miranda Emmerson)

My family reunions are A Messy Affair (Elizabeth Mundy)

At a party you’d find me with People Like Us (Louise Fein)

I’ve never been to The Bermondsey Bookshop (Mary Gibson)

A happy day includes This Green and Pleasant Land (Ayisha Malik)

Motto I live by On Earth We’re Briefly Gorgeous (Ocean Vuong)

On my bucket list is Summer in Provence (Lucy Coleman)

In my next life, I want to have One Hundred Miracles (Zuzana Ruzickova & Wendy Holden)

  1. So glad you decided to do this. Anything that brings light relief right now is good in my books…..
I’m a kindred spirit in disliking being the centre of attention in photographs. Seldom have one that I think is ok! And I shall join you too in wishing for a summer in Provence.

  2. Great answers, Cathy – I particularly love that you need The Last of the Wine and thankful you will never be Hitler’s Secret! 😅 I hope to have my own version of this meme posted very, very soon. 🙂
