ARC August is an annual event hosted by the lovely ladies at Read.Sleep.Repeat.
The rules couldn’t be simpler:
- Any Advanced Reading Copy counts as part of this reading challenge; your backlist books count
- No blog is necessary to participate, but you’ll need to include some form of social media as part of your sign up
- Use the hashtag #ARCAugust on social media to check-in
There’s no pressure, you set your own target. It’s just about having fun and getting through some ARCs. I’ve signed up because it’s the perfect motivation for me to focus on the NetGalley ARCs I have with publication dates in August and September. For once, I’ve kept my target realistic and aim to read the following six ARCs :

Clicking on the titles below will take you to the Goodreads page for each book.
The Sixteen Trees of the Somme by Lars Mytting
The Word is Murder by Anthony Horowitz
The Wardrobe Mistress by Patrick McGrath
A Dangerous Woman from Nowhere by Kris Radish
When It’s Over by Barbara Ridley
The Indigo Girl by Natasha Boyd
Why not join the 200 or so other bloggers signed up for ARC August?

I only have 4 on my shelf. Doesn’t seem like much of a challenge 😂

Well done, I’m only just half way through my first one. Been rather distracted by the World Athletics Championships on TV…

Thanks I’d already started it when I saw the challenge. I just hope I can keep it up like Mo Farah has done this evening. 😀
